I tried a little bit of toning here. Was trying to find a bloodsplatter tone but couldn't, so it doesn't look as good as it could have. Oh well, at least the message comes across.

I sometimes get asked why I have a donation button. Well, that's a pretty long answer with an explanation behind the short one (Which is, obviously, to get some cash) but it's really about what I want to do with anything I get.

You see, I've noticed that drunkduck can be a little limiting when it comes to getting readers. The most popular comics around all have their own sites. When a comic on drunkduck becomes really popular, it gets its own site and leaves, or mirrors, and then grows.

And that's what I want, to continue my DD comics as sort of side projects, but create a main comic with its own site and with my full attention.

But, I can't do that, for several reasons. One is that I need to buy a domain name, then find a host, and then hire someone to make me a webpage since I suck at that. But, it all comes down to one thing: Money. As in I don't have any. And anything I have with me seems to get eaten up pretty quickly.

I've tried everything. I set up the donation button, but no one donated. I made a cafepress shop, but everything's just too expensive and if someone bought anything, I'd only make 30c when it costs $28 for a lousy shirt. I even tried to get in on Project Wonderful, but they don't think any of my comics deserve to host ads.

I always get told my comics are better than others out there, but no one seems to want to read them, which is another problem if I got a site. So, I'm asking you guys for this weekend to help me with some ideas for increasing readership. It would really help a lot and would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Until next time
