Here in the U.S., yesterday was Thanksgiving. I like the holiday, in general. I like getting together with family (even the ones that occasionally annoy me), gathering around the table, celebrating the things we have to feel grateful for, which for me, is my family and my friends, most of all.

I hope those others also in the States had a good holiday as well.

There is a part about Thanksgiving that fills me with dread, however. It's not so much the holiday itself, really, but the following day.

Black Friday.

That day when the retail world goes mad, offering insane sales to cram as many people in the doors as humanly possible. The bizarre, insane plan to make as much money as possible in a single day through massive volume sales.

To those braving the insanity for those, despite all the hype, elusive bargins, good luck to you. You need in, and maybe a good insurance plan.

Me, I'll be safe and cozy at home, not planning on emerging until at least Tuesday if I can help it. =g=
