Not intended in my planning, but perhaps fitting that Viara's opening words should come out on Memorial Day.

To my husband, my father, my cousin, both grandfathers, paternal grandmother, and the rest of the long line of military service in my family lines, thank you for serving, even when it was neither comfortable or easy.

Thank you to those readers with military service as well… I know of at least one, with a few dependents scattered in there as well.
