Still running late, but improving slowly.

I should probably explain the oddity that was my last statement. Last Tuesday, my husband went into work as usual… and was fired just before lunch. No warning. And oddly, two weeks after being given a raise. Speculation has it that corporate politics were involved… something neither of us are good at.

So the last week has been an odd sort of grieving. Invest enough time in anything, and losing it causes grief, especially a job one enjoys.

Now the week is over, even if the ache is still there, and it's time to get moving. New job opportunities are being applied for. The good news is, call center work is usually always hiring. The trick is being hired at the right level of pay. In the meantime, there's the show this week, which if I calculated correctly, should carry us over until unemployment kicks in, which hopefully hopefully won't be needed for long.
