I'm so proud of Fae's awkward attempt to stand up for herself. A lot of
what I hope to accomplish with Fae is to not only show her journey to
get home but to show her evolution into a secure and strong character.
Not that she is to ever meant to be a weak character but that Fae starts
out insecure in everything. She is in a completely alien world,
surrounded by people who she may not be able to ever trust, and the
precipitating event for all of this was a personal, devastating loss.
I'm extremely insecure with my ability to write as I know I am no writer
but the evolution of Fae's character is one of the key things that I
hope I can adequately translate as I draw the pages. Here's to hoping.
