And that's the last we'll see of Corrina.

Corrina's story and impact on the plot is something that I had a hard time with. I had a ton of different ideas for Corrina and in the end I decided to leave her story as open ended as possible. Corrina is meant to slightly highlight how the general populace views Hope incarnates and why it might be a good idea for Fae to hide what she is. And while the truth of what Fae is has been masked from others, it doesn't work if someone already knows the truth (this will be elaborated on in chapter 9).

The more I grew to know Corrina, the more I discovered that an open ending was the best ending for her. She is a selfless person who would never let others help her and she knows what she has gotten herself into. There is no way that I could see her leaving that cell unless someone ended up acting completely out of character and since Corrina's fate is wrapped up with several half truths and whole lies, the ambiguity of her fate and current situation help keep all of those lies in the dark until they are ready to be revealed.
