In other news, I've downloaded some game editor software to play around with. Does anyone else out there remember the days when the only games you could find were amateur shareware and freeware projects? I miss those days. The graphics were rarely too impressive, but the a lot of the games seriously kicked ass. One of my favorites was Anacreon – a space strategy game that only used ascii characters for its artwork. It wasn't until I stumbled on Space Empires IV from Malfador Machinations that I found another sci-fi space strategy game that really captured my attention (and ate my free time) like Anacreon did.
