Here we go. Ah. Six years in the making and it's finally available to the public. This monstrosity has been my baby for longer than I care to remember. Many, many bottles of Pepsi, bags of Doritos and Sour Patch Kids were consumed in the making of this comic. The story was first created by me (Ben) and Colin in our grade 11 Art class way back in 1999. Since then we'd been working on it on and off until about four months ago when it was finally finished… art-wise. After having several people read it over, I was brought to the realization that our writing six years ago just wouldn't cut it today. So for the past few months I've been slowly rewriting and lettering each page to what I could find suitable. At this point it is important to note that neither Colin and I are very good writers, so you may find yourself groaning at times, but also consider that this was done in sort of a B-movie style, so groaners should be not only accepted, but expected. Bear in mind, as well, that some of this art is up to six years old, and both of us have come a long way since then. In fact, some of the early pages were so bad that we had to go back toward the end and redo them because we just couldn't stand them. So really, despite how bad some of the writing may be, and inevitably some of the early art, I love this book. But I love it more as a testiment to how far my (and subsequently Colin's) art style has come since Evil Dawn's humble beginnings. For the most part the art is (starting at page one): me - two pages, Colin - two pages, me - two pages, Colin - two pages, and so on, but we do tend to mix it up to keep you guessing. Hopefully you'll be able to get a feel for who did what after not too long. In closing: this thing took an eternity of barely working on it to complete, so please, read with an open mind, and for the love of the junk food we ate and the countless bottles we didn't recycle, enjoy!
