The original artist never really cared for this page. She re-did it several times but I still think this original page is cute.

If Joy looks a little odd to you that is because she is drawn more like a tradional unicorn. Originally unicorns were drawn (to the best of my knowledge) from a misunderstood description of a rhino sent back to england. Hence the non-horse like tail. I actually wasn't aware of this myself when I started writting the series but I found out later when the first concept sketches came back and I asked about Joy's tail. I looked in up and indeed found that tradionally unicorns did not have horse like tails.
