Some news items…

I posted a new page over at Mastorism, though its not really a page, its the cover for issue #5 which just came out. Loved it so much, I thought I'd share it with y'all.

This weekend (Oct 17th and 18th) is APE (Alternative Press Expo) and Ben and myself will be there representing Earthbound Comics, which includes this fine comic as well as several others. We'll be at table 507! I'm pretty sure most (or all) of you are not west coasters, but ah… wish me luck, I suppose. I'll try and post some info from the con… say, that leads into my next news item…

I launched a new blog last night. After much back and forth, planning thinking about it blah blah blah, I finally decided to go through and take a whack at it. Its a combo of art, information about process (both what I know and what I'm learning about making comics), and just generally my adventures being a (very) independent comic type person. SO, if that interests you, check it out. Not much there yet, but I can tell you that I'll likely be posting stuff about APE very soon, and I hope to keep it up to date with everything I work on, offering some insight into my processes and methods of producing comics (particularly the new Mastorism that's coming up). WELL! I have some more stuff to write over on the Mastorism page, so I'll shut up now. Thanks for reading and commenting everyone– Like I said, next week we start and all new story, which I feel is much better than this one. I hope you do too.

AzuJOD - You kinda got me there. They're supposed to be goggles, but I purposely under-rendered them so I could use them to highlight her expressions a bit– I back away from that a tad in future stories, you'll see. I was actually called on that at the last con I went to, too. That prominent characters in my stories have masks like that. They asked if I was obsessed with Robin. I dunno. A subliminal thing I guess.
