ALRIGHT! Thanks for coming back. I apologize for no comment replies last time, or this time, but the comments were a bit sparse. I'm not complaining, but I figured I'd spare you having to read "Thanks for stopping by!" over and over (though, I guess, that would be up to you anyway). Enough of that!

SO! A new story, a third story, the last story for a while, and most importantly, this is the first place this story is being seen (the previous two appeared in the first two issues of Lady Fight). That's pretty much the norm for my Mastorism stuff, but thus far Explosion Proof has be re-runs. This story will go into the next edition of Lady Fight (Lady Fight: Aggression, I believe its going to be titled), but should be complete here before that comes out.

ANYHOW, There is a backstory framework for everything in EP, and these shorts have been bursts out of that continuity– I have a longer story that I started but never finished. Anyhow, in that context there's information about the "Citadel" mentioned in the first caption on this page. In hindsight, probably, I could just get away with saying "City" instead. I might revise that before it goes to print since it kinda sounds funny.

Since the previous two stories were completely interior, I decided to go with an exterior setting for this story. Heck, even when they're in cars… they're convertibles! Ha! I also had fully intended to tone this story, either like the previous one, or a different approach– but I had a really hard time coming up with something that I was happy with. I struggled with it for quite some time before I decided, for my own sanity, to just let it be for now. I'm pretty happy with how the non-toned art turned out anyway, though there's an area or two where the the light source might make you go "hmmm?" If you notice one of those, its most likely that I had planned on resolving that with shading. Though it could be a genuine screw up, who knows! I'll never tell!

For you Mastorism fans, I posted two new character designs over at at the blog, InkOutsideTheBottle.blogspot.com and I did another last night (from when I'm writing this) which I may try and post on there after this, but no guarantees (it will be there at some point). I'm super itching to get going on that new story, but I'm trying to be patient and tie up all my loose ends before I get to that. I'm hoping to start penciling that bad boy around the end of the year. So, yep.
