Well! Let's get back to the story then!

Thanks for sticking with me through the holidays. All the pages are uploaded and ready to go to finish this story out, now we need are my timely, drawn out page commentary (you know, the ones that typically talk about anything EXCEPT the page). Which, as you know, I'm more than happy to give.

This story was enough to make me not really want to draw cars for a while. I don't think there's a page (and very few panels) without a car in this one. Now I know why there aren't so many car chases in comics. And hats off to those who can do them often an effectively a la Kenichi Senoda (sp) in Gunsmith Cats. One of the few manga on my bookshelf. I almost even used a Shelby as a nod to that book, but the Chevy seemed to make more sense for EePee (even if she DID steal it… uhm… hypothetically).

Anyhow, all joking aside, I actually had a good time drawing the cars, and was really proud of the way they turned out. It was a situation where I hadn't really had much experience drawing them, so I set up the story in a way that forced me to draw them a lot and really involve them in the story. I'm proud of how well they turned out and I have to say credit goes to some really good references. Drawing a believable car requires hitting all the little details– and those you just can't pull out of your… uh… trunk.
