FIGHT and FIGHT2 are both fan comics. But there is no original comic that this is based on.

Ed, my co-artist, wanted to be spontaneous. My original script only asked for Hanes to wrest the gun away, with maybe one punch to stun. Under Ed, Hanes beat the stuffing out of him.
Ed shaped the story direction a great deal with his spontaneous re-writes. We really had no set direction for the story early on; just went chapter by chapter by using the "mystery phrase of the day."
