Sorry this is kind of late, but I was kinda busy over the times I was supposed to be working on this… We'll be back to our Monday updates, I hope. :/

Dang… Poor Tula's not getting many breaks is she?

So I've abandoned my old way of coloring. I was just bored of it.

Before: freestyle lasso, alt-backspace fill. Tablet orientation: landscape. hardware used: keyboard and tablet pen.

Now: using brush to create a border without gaps, bucket, going over the gaps with a brush. Tablet orientation: portrait. hardware used: tablet pen only.

To me it looks almost the same, but I feel more like I'm coloring hands on. This is good, because I can draw longer and improvise better in the final stages. The old way felt so complicated, cumbersome and tiring… and I did it for so… long… u_u

I never realised that the keyboard just felt wrong as an artistic tool to me. There were a lot of cool shortcuts on it, but it disconnected me from the page. I also had an inefficient setup in photoshop. I've just discovered the swatch window and preset manager… I'm pretty happy about the current process this past page went through…
