Experimented a little with just using two colors with the text. I consider it a failure since the words don't pop, and are hard to see. Also played a little bit with using the darker color for various reasons. Looks random to me, but I was trying to differentiate the closer elements and the farther elements.

Wanted the closer elements to be darker and the background elements lighter.
