I like this page for several reasons: 1. I decided to be more selective in my use of my gray markers, so I avoid embarassing streaks. Pencil shading is just as good AFAIC, especially when depicting motion. 2. I'm getting better drawing Chase. Panels 2-3 really look like her. Yay. I think I know what I've been doing wrong. 3. I missed drawing her… and I missed writing her Shakespeare… I purposely didn't spotlight her at all since the beginning; absence makes the heart grow fonder. Nuada has had much more screentime than her. She's in so few panels…
I like how she didn't know what she was looking at when machinegun bullets started strafing towards her. She ran the other way on instinct. Cool little things like that that isn't in your script, but you come up with while actually drawing the page.
Is it clear she started running the opposite way? I used the 180 rule for that purpose.
It's not shown, but Nuada would have talked to Chase about guns in a way that she would've understood back in chapter 2. Behold, Roman machineguns.
