This page by me. Remember what I said about all animals in my 2 comics?
I tried to apply my Literature classes to a comics page, by modeling this page's layout after a specific story structure… I tried laying out the panels so that it's like an onion, or opening up a series of Matryoshka dolls.
"A set of matryoshkas consists of a wooden figure which can be pulled apart to reveal another figure of the same sort inside. It has, in turn, another figure inside, and so on."
The metaphor is that the answer at the end of the page was there all along; Nuada simply had to get to it after peeling away everything else that doesn't work. The last panel is also "trapped" by all the preceding panels, signifying that just as the reader's eye has no choice, neither does Nuada. He's arrived at the last doll, the only thing left, the end.
LOL, one thing we all learned to do in literature class is to make **** up where there is none, I swear.
Read the companion comic FIGHT 1; both stories take place in the same world.
