Anyone remember an old TV show called "Wise Guy", about an undercover agent who became part of organized crime, and worked secretely to sabotage it? A few of you might even remember an even OLDER show, called "Blue Light", where Robert Goulet posed as a double agent in World War II, supposedly working for the Nazis, but really working for the Allies?
This has been a long drawn-out origin, but a necessary one. This is the set-up for the series. Why Flicker's out to get the Next Level—Soul/Lore/Sage (whatever his name is) especially. An origin was needed, so you know why he's working to infiltrate, foil, and ultimately ruin the Next Level.
Next story arc you're going to really see him in action. Like the Nazis Robert Goulet betrayed, or the Mafia mobsters that Vinnie in the Wise Guy betrayed, he'll be working against the Next Level, which is much more the Legion of Doom than the Super Friends. He'll be playing both sides….against the other.
Frost will be the connection between Flickerflame and the Federal authorities. At first he'll feed them the easy to believe stuff. Later, when he has their trust, he might let them know a little more… …And quite frankly, Flickerflame will be enjoying every minute. He is not one to respect authority. Ever. Next storyline he'll be tangling especially with Vigilant, and Beastbeauty will be also involved. You'll be seeing much more about Vigilant's abilities (how would expanded vision and sight REALLY work?) and personality, and ditto Beastbeauty. You're going to get to see a lot of the Next Level members, one by one—and I'll try to highlight a few of them in each storyline.
