Yeah, she's one of those.  A film student-turned-director, she overthinks every scene, loading it with tons of symbolism and metaphor—

All the while,  putting in a lot of explicit sexual scenes.  She's really doing it for the integrity of her art—not that Lafferty really cares about the art.  Or for that matter, neither do most of the theatregoers.

I also like the husband's reaction to his wife's—transformations.  Surely he swore to keep it secret, plus any secrets he might have found out about the Next Level….

Like Stephen King's father he left one night—never to return.
