Jamshedshi Wadia was a real person, and did fulfill his ambition, decades later.  I've grafted Ram Wadia—who goes by the pseudonym Ram Deol these days—onto the prominent Wadia family tree, as Sherlock Holmes was related to the very real Vernet family, etc.
Albeit a child born out of wedlock.  Despite the Parsi tradition of being very careful about that sort of thing (there is a strong controversy in some Parsi circles whether the child of a Parsi and a non-Parsi can be initiated into their religion.  There is a strong tradition of not intermarrying with non-Parsis, especially a century and a half ago.) that happens even in the best families—and the Wadia family of Bombay (now Mumbai) could definitely be considered among the best.
We assume the nurse handed the baby to the mother, as the cries grew shriller and shriller, in hopes the mother could still his cries…
But Vigilant's cries can be—deadly. He can amplify and change the pitch of light and sound, remember.
It's not just super-senses. Think Black Bolt, and his cries…
Vigilant just has more control over it. Can speak and make noises normally…


At least…he can NOW…
