Artificial intelligences—pursuing their own research and goals—but Soul/Sage/Lore can command them—since his own ability includes interfacing with electrical/cybernetic systems—especially Zha'Tahn cybernetic systems.  With others, they retain their own volition. Save with Soul, they aren't servants—but they are a valuable resources, valuable allies.

I like them setting up shop below where humanity has spread, also…the Deep Realm.

You'll notice that Beastbeauty, at least, has no desire to deal directly with them—again.  Once, in her case, was more than enough. That'll be explained  in a few weeks. 

Next time, we'll learn a little about Soul's first contact with the artificial intelligences who will later migrate to the Deep Realms.
