No color today, the outline for this page took way too long. Drawing without a reference is so difficult, it takes me forever to put the characters together. They start out as not much more than stick figures just so I can have an idea of what goes where on the page…then I try to position them as naturally as possible… then I fix up the proportions… then they become a mess of lines and spheres, then I draw them naked, then I draw their clothes on a separate page because I tend to start over a lot (stupid fabric wrinkles!) Then by the time I'm done both pages are so full of eraser smudges, I have to trace over the whole thingon a clean new sheet. I don't get how others find the time to sketch, ink, color and update on time…
