Page 193: Oh, what a tangled web...

This was a tough one to get finished, though it was a good kind of tough. I all but ignored my rough draft (keeping only the dialog) and pretty much improvised the layout as I went. That's a VERY risky move for me, and it resulted in a lot more post-scanning clean up than usual, but I really like the result. The finished page looks WAY more exciting than a bunch of kids standing around talking has any right to.

One thing, though: part of me really wished I'd made the first panel, with Layla's freak out, a little bigger. I mean, that's a REALLY entertaining image, after all. But then again, it felt wrong to take any space away from the panels that actually, you know, advance the story. Speaking of which, I guess now we know why Tabitha looked so uncomfortable back when we first say her and Skye together, eh?
