Page 246: Teamwork, zombie style!

You know, I gotta say that it's REALLY refreshing to do pages that only feature Bridget and Alphonse. When speech bubbles don't enter into the equation, I get these pages done SOOO much faster! Granted, the storytelling possibilities are somewhat limited, so I can't keep the spotlight on them TOO long, but it's still a nice little vacation from wrangling with dialog.

One thing slightly bothers me, though. You may recall we saw a while back that Alphonse could hack into things with his mind, which makes his manual solution to things in this page seem a little primitive. I'm tempted to come up with a technobabble explanation, but the truth is it's entirely narrative convenience: a severed power cable was easier to depict in one panel than some vaguely-explained mind power. Laziness wins again!
