Today's silly fictional swear word comes courtesy of Zap! I like references like this. They're so much faster than actually trying to come up with something original!

It was really hard to resist slipping in a Lassie joke here. "What's that? Timmy's fallen down the old abandoned well?" But it just would have sounded wrong coming from Tabitha. If Alphonse hadn't been in such a hurry, I'm pretty sure she would have divined everything he was trying to say just from body language.

Speaking of which, I was also torn two ways over what that sketch should look like. Part of me though it would be really cute if it was a really primitive, sketchy stick-figure. However, not only would that be hard for you (the gentle reader) to recognize, but it just seemed kind of wrong for Alphonse. He strikes me as too much of a connoisseur of the arts to not know how to draw. In fact, now that I think about it, it would have been really funny if his "quick sketch" had turned out to be MORE detailed than "real life." …DANG IT, why didn't I think of that sooner?!?!?!?
