One more page of this flashback, then back to the current time. I promise. These side stories will hopefully slowly build your understanding of the whole story.

Angel Jargon: Despite your belief that this comic is about Hawke's crew- it's actually about Hawke and Wolfe… well… actually it's about how fate is made with or without free will, but that gets a bit deep and foggy for this small comment space. Not that I don't appreciate your devotion to the crew, but you will have to be patient while the main part of the story takes place.

Alejkhan- Thanks for helping me out! I'll fix the first page up a bit to make it more clear.

2nd Wind. Hee hee… yea I like that comment if only for it's naivity.

Triss: Thanks. I like Ren Faires too. I guess that's why I based my comic in one.

Winzrella: No worries. A Ren Fest is short for a "Renaissance Festival," which is just an excuse for adults to dress up like renaissance-like folk and parade around mock-towns buying expensive things they don't need. ^_^ They're awesome. I worked at one for quite some time.

ejb: Your aerochip story scares me. I hope I never see the likes of them. As for blacksmithing… yea… it is cool. It was going to be my original occupation, but then I became a metalsmith, then a jeweler, and then an English teacher. Don't ask mehow that played out.

Min-lunga: Actually, there won't be too much bashing after this one. There was enough of that in the previous chapter, methinks. This is more the "sad memory" chapter. The "pissed off as all hell" chapter is a few chapters down the road. Please hold. ^_^

Jen, you caught up! They're on a plane because they can't move the ship through time due to weather patterns, so they are flying to Paris to stop Wolfe from possibly stealing something there.
Bwa! … it was a little more confusing than I'd hoped.
