Filler ala Stained Glass

During my road trip across America-land, I saw a great many things, but one of my favorite sights by far was the National Cathedral in Washington DC. I am a sucker for stained glass. My favorite cathedral has always been Sainte-Chapelle, but after having seen one of my own culture, I was very moved, and drawn by its mad array of glass. There is old-skool glass next to modern glass next to German and French glass… it's all wonderful. I walked out of the gift shoppe with a book about all the panes. The next chance I got, this drawing came out onto my page. There is something very sacred about the church in my comic, beyond the idea that it's the places Hawke and Wolfe can meet without spilling blood, and I feel I need to give you guys more pre-"disaster" happy Wolfe and Hawke pictures. Maybe I'll color it someday. Currently too scared.
Enjoyz!

Mina Lunga: You inspired me to break out of my frames on that last page. I love the way you defy squares.

Jenshin: Apparently "damnit" can be spelled many ways. "Dammit" "Damn it" and such. But when I used to walk to middle school there was a sign in someone's front lawn that said, "Grow Damnit!" so that is the way I've always spelled it.
Thanks for the Kampeki! Yer Kampeki! ^_^

ejb: Ooo. I like the way you look at things. You're right. The panels are rigid while the things within them are organic. I didn't do it intentionally- I was only trying to make her seem somehow bigger and more powerful without drawing her giant-size, but I'm glad it worked out.
On Llamas: Evil. Pure evil! For Christmas, my editor Richard got me postage stamps made with llamas on them. They will be for all my evil mail. who knows, I might send you evil llama mail! …except "ejb" isn't in the white pages.

Alej: I think you an call that abstract paneling- but then again… it's not the paneling that's wonky, but the way the images fit in the panels… hmmm…. this is getting deeper than I want to delve into.
