Filler ala Japanese Prison

Okay, so maybe I didn't really wind up in prison. If I had, I'd have a page to update with right now. Ha.
No, instead I've frittered my time away meeting up with 60 friends in Kagawa (sorry if you weren't one of the 60, like Jenshin, if you were outside of Kagawa, there was no way it was gonna work.) Got to write haiku in the prefectural park, catch up with friends, and got a good Japanese study session for 12 days. And now I'm back- attempting to get back into the swing of work.

Does everyone understand that the last panel of this comic is a list of things you should probably never do in Japan?
Chysanthemums are for dead people. Camelias fall heavily off the branch suddenly with loud 'thudding' noises, making them the worst gift for sick people, and Ichiro who plays for the Seattle Mariners is the country's pride and joy. The last one is a little hard to read and arbitrary. The 88 temples of Shikoku are a 2 month pilgrimage Buddhists take to clear their minds. It's an amazing circuit. Anyway, legend has it that if you visit the temples backwards (88 to 1) you can bring a dead person back to life. And if you attempt this- people will stop you from completing the trek. Creepy? I think so!

I will get you an update next week. Never fear!
Until then- ciao.
