Sooooooo… Hi! Didja miss me?
To make a long story short- my car was totaled, I fell into a funk, walking everywhere took up all my time, I concentrated my remaining time on the Japanese Placement test, work, and volunteer hours at the Smithsonian, which all distracted me from the reality of life. Oh, and Minalunga sent me pretty blue pottery pieces! ^_^
I tried to finish this page for Richard as his X-mas present, but it took a ridiculous amount of time. I really don't like color. Pah!
But at last, here it is. I even have a page for next week coming up. I will be moving soon, though, so don't expect too much!

About this page- I have decided that since I somehow managed to end the last two pages with the same panel that I will avoid it for the rest of this chapter. Challenge!
This image here is of the battle of the Dan no Ura, or Heike Monogatari at Yashima.
Recap on history: The Taira and Minamoto clans fought on the Seto Sea near Yashima- The child Emperor Antoku is drowned before he can be killed, and as one of the three sacred treasures (the sword, the mirror, the jewel), the sword is lost to the sea with the defeat of the Taira clan. Many soldiers lost their life to this battle, and to this day, the Seto Inland Sea is haunted by strange crabs with samurai faces on their backs. They are called Heike crabs to commemorate the dead. In my version of the battle, Wolfe goes after the treasures and succeeds in stealing one- the sword, which is therefore lost to history.
