One of Miles Davis' last great recordings was the concept album Aura. On it, the trumpeter played a number of compositions named after various colors of an aura. The music on each song was supposed to be an interpretation of this color.
I thought that this was a good idea to steal for comics. So yes, this page is the maiden installment of a series based around colors. Each further chapter in this series will present a short piece related to a color in some fashion or other.
Red Aura adapts the famous soliloquy from Hamlet to a short form comics story. This is hardly the first instance of "To be, or not to be" being uttered in a comics format however. (See Will Eisner's "Hamlet on a Rooftop" for one example) Hopefully this rendition will seem a little different from all the other versions you've seen.
I'm trying some new things with the colors on this page. There's an awful lot of digital tinkering with this one. Much more than I usually do.
