Okay, I realize that Ry would NOT be able to get onto Chaerius' back that easily. The instant he left his perch he'd prolly be swept back and tossed around by the air currents around him. And if this were animated (that's how I see this in my head) I'd likely demand that that actually happen. However, since this is a webcomic and only updates once a week, I'm going to just ask you good people out there to suspend your disbelief in the interest of moving the story forward.

I think we can all agree that this is preferable. ;)

And I still love that Ry uses "fate" as his curse word of choice. Lame to be so amused by such a small thing, but I like what it adds.
