Well, for those of you who were wondering what had happened to Chaerius, well now you know. XD
And for those of you who may be wondering why he doesn't just bust out of the cage - he can't use any magic in cat-form, he'd have to turn back into a dragon to do anything. Certainly the act of turning into a dragon would break the cage…but not anytime before all his bones and organs were crushed.
So caging Chaerius in cat-form is the best strategy for making him stay in one place.

He's a very unhappy kitty.
