I was intentionally being misleading about their target, it was Chaerius all along. :D For one thing: it wouldn't do much good to kill Ry, but if you're wondering why they referred to Chaerius as her protector, I invite you to look here, here, here, and here. He's done as good a job if not better of protecting her as Ry has. :D

On another note, can I say how freaking pleased I am with how this page looks! Especially that final panel, I went into it not even sure how I wanted it to look, but when I'd put this in I thought "it's perfect!" I've got more of a handle on the hi-lighting now than I did last page. Man, I wanna just cut out that last panel an frame it. …of course, a year from now, it'll be another matter, but at the moment, I'm more than pleased. :D
