I've never really liked the concept of "evil" in most books and stories and such. Oh, I think it exists, and I don't mind there being characters from time to time who are just despicable and are fun to hate. But I don't like the idea of an "evil" side, because you can't convince me that ALL of the low-level grunts of an army are evil, even if the higher ups clearly are. Maybe they're just trying to help their family or something! You don't know! So I like for things to be more complicated.
In FFC, the "Dark" is perceived as evil, because that's what we've trained ourselves to see: dark=bad, light=good. And it certainly doesn't help that they're the antagonists. But the Dark isn't necessarily evil. Depending on the situation, they can be a greater force for good than the light can, and just because this isn't that situation, doesn't mean that all "Dark" people are bad guys. Micah is Dark-minded, but there are some things that are more important.
…we also never really saw this werewolf being too terribly evil, so you could argue against Micah on that point. And I tried to write Wolfman McSmokey earlier in the comicas being fairly neutral. He didn't want to kill Doc, it was just orders.

…point is: Dark or Light, Micah's loyalty is set and unmoving. So you really don't need to worry about his switching sides. The dude is serious.

I'm disappointed with this page, I wanted the fourth panel to be entirely in silhouette, but couldn't think of a way to stage it…until after I finished the page. NOW I know how I could've done it, but it's a bit late. I needed to get the page up on time.

Oh well…
