Katyn was not really aware that she could do that.
…as in she sorta knew somewhere under it all, but never really thought about it or tried it…so it startled here.

Sorry the dialog is kinda clunky, I changed the text at the last minute because it didn't make sense, but didn't put a lot of thought into it.
