You had to realize that if there was a giant stained glass window in a room, eventually SOMEONE would be flying through it. It's like a rule or something.
Though, see, Ry, if you'd paid more attention, you might know all these cool tricks that Elrek has. There used to be some big explination for how the spell that Elrek used worked and why he couldn't undo it, but ti was a pain and took up too much space. Basically, if Ry had been paying attention, he could've easily deflected it. It only hit him because he distracted himself.
