My idea for how to visually depict Fate has long been that her form is constantly shifting between a variety of different women of all ages, sizes, races, ect. However, when I got to this point and this one short scene was going to be her only appearance I realized that I couldn't really depict that idea properly in just a few panels. So instead I decided on this visual, that her form could never entirely be made out.
…and if you've noticed that she looks to be made entirely of light and yet that light doesn't seem to be reflecting off anything - that is intentional.
