Take L. Frank Baum's first Oz novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, remove Dorothy Gale from it and replace her with the Man with No Clue, the superhero Fleischer, and what you get is the comic strip 'Fleischer and the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.'
