Well I thought it was funny.
I think puns are hilarious, but not too many puns, that just get's annoying. But come on, it's a change of humor, a little witty and of course slightly obnoxious. Changing up dynamics is good, no one wants to read a static webcomic that doesn't go anywhere, doesn't build or change. Granted, taking the webcomic in a totally different direction or altering the tone might be risky, but everybody loves a little difference.
Oh yeah, I forgot to shamelessly plug my forums. Hey, it's my comic and my notes, I get to do what I want!
