Issue 4: "By Its Cover"

I feel like each issue is an improvement upon the last. I am pretty happy with how this one turned out.

The mooks have finally settled onto what I believe will be their final appearance. In issue 1, I had the idea for these little green goblin-type characters, but having only the Hiro model, I used a heavily morphed Hiro to make a mook. After Issue 2, I kept them masked, because I didn't really like their look, but didn't know how to "fix" it. Now, like the Klingons of the original Star Trek series who didn't get their distinctive foreheads until the movies, my mooks have found their "real" appearance. The new (and final) mook is a freebie created by Sixus1 (http://www.sixus1.com/freebies-1.html), originally called a "Raider." I scaled the Raider down to mook size, then gave it a big head. Anyway, thanks to Sixus for creating the raider model and generously giving it away for free. I'm not going to go back and redo the old issues. You readers just have to imagine they looked like that all the time. Just like you do when you watch an old Star Trek episode.

Almost all of the other 3d content used in this issue has been used before, except TrekkieGrrrl's "Morphable Blanket" on page 11 (http://trekkiegrrrl.dk/). You wouldn't believe how hard it is in Daz Studio to find a blanket for someone to sleep under (some of you might notice how I skipped the blankets all together in issue 2). I wanted to deal with the seduction of one of the characters… but I wanted to keep it PG—I have a commitment to keeping this comic PG despite the occasional "adult" theme—and you really have to have a blanket for that.

I hope you all enjoy this issue. I look forward to reading your comments. Look for the next issue around the 20th of next month.
