Interlude 1: Max

The original "Found Art" concept was to take whatever 3D assets I found "lying around" on the Internet and build a comic around them. The idea has grown since then and now there are many characters and story arcs waiting "in the wings" for a chance to be presented.

Max was actually the second character I created for the story. He's the pilot, so he has this weird symbiotic relationship to the ship. He's kind of neurotic and shy as well. Since you readers didn't know him as well as I did, you didn't realize what a big deal it was for him to come out of his shell a bit to get to know Naiema, who (unfortunately) turned out to be a bounty hunter hired to bring him in.

His past is a mystery, one which we'll delve into a bit more in the adventures to come. He told Naiema that he was abandoned on the world of Dystopia by a half-brother and taken in my a con man named Landon. Then he was rescued by an aunt as a teenager and raised with his cousin Melandra. There is probably a lot more to this story than meets the eye. And it doesn't explain why there would be a large bounty on his head.
