Issue 7: "Extraction"

This issue begins a second "novel" in the FA universe.

I am taking this opportunity to experiment with some different art styles. The first six issues went for an anime kind of look reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboy_Bebop). Still trying to stay away from a 3D render look, I'm doing a lot of paint-over this issue to get a look like a prestige '80's comic look. Let me know if you think this is an improvement or not.

I really wanted to draw a space battle. Sci fi fans will, no doubt, recognize the true origins of each ship. I will personally extend a "thumbs up" towards the first person to identify (in a comment) the movie or TV show from which each ship comes on the first page where it appears. Clue: there are five (one is an interior).

Oh, and for anyone trying to figure out how the cover ties in with the rest of the issue… It does, sort of, but in a way that won't become apparent for a long time. When the story actually ties in, I'll post a link back to this page and you all will be, like, "Wow, he really *wasn't* just making it up as he went along."
