I'm really trying to keep the plot moving. Originally, the last panel on this page was a larger panel on another page, with a lot more dialog. Dr. Bitters was going to express his apprehension about Merrik's increasingly erratic behavior. But I went ahead and told you he was getting unstable in the narration on the previous page. I prefer to show rather than tell and to use dialog rather than narration to tell the story. But I do hope to eventually finish this story and that means compressing things a bit.
