Lord Xing and Alani Armaphel are like my Greek chorus, watching the events unfold and commenting upon them. The day I wrote this page, I was very hungry and a friend had made fresh chipati. That's how they made it into the story.

As an unrelated note, when I plot and script my chapters, I'm always doing it in 15 page increments which are intended to be read as a unit, not in this one-page-a-week format. Hence, this page has the title of the chapter even though it's not the first page. The previous page would have been… like… I don't know—the scene before the theme song if this were a TV show.
