Little Details, part 2

This is another one from the same page as the previous entry. I'm often mixing high fantasy with science fiction and steam punk. This first image has that. Like, the last emperor is doing something magical from a space ship whose interior looks very much like a submarine. The effect is marred a bit by the fact that you can read "US Navy" on the pilot of the ship… though you couldn't see that on the actual page. I also had a lot of fun doing the emperor later, when his mind had become significantly more fragile. Hands in claws, wild staring eyes, ripped clothes. I think the effect is mostly lost once this panel got reduced to fit on the page.
