So last weekend's Free Comic Book Day event at Happy Harbor Comics was pretty freakin' sweet. I did a bunch of sketches for folks who donated to the food bank and ended up with a whole whack of free stuff. And a bunch of stuff that I bought on sale.
This one is more of the President, in this case addressing something that I hadn't thought of in the original run of the strip in the Gateway: why doesn't he just get superheroes to do it? Superheroes appear more often in Rent-A-Thug, but since both comics take place in the same universe they're still around, just not prominent in Frank Baron, NSO. The superheroes in Rent-A-Thug tend to wreck a lot of stuff on the way to accomplishing their mission, which is what the president is referring to. For more on that, check out the Rent-A-Thug short story "Protection Rackets and Head Trauma", which will be in print and online in June.
