Fred is subconsciously using his powers. Actually if anyone remembers promotional art and pin ups I've done of Fred as Warlord, theres hints dropped here and there what his powers are and the extent of them. They will be explained further down.
Fred if anything has shown he is very tough and doesn't give up easily, he will give you a fight.
