Page three basically sums up chapters 12-19, starting off with the intro of 'Dita/Rocker. I haven't gotten quite into her origin just yet, only bits and pieces have come out so far, people really seem to like her, especially after chapters 21-23. There's going to be more chunks of her story coming out over the rest of this story line.
Then, of course, is the unfortunate El Gladiador, the "hero" sponsored by Fatfish (what HAS Fatfish been up to lately…..?). Disgruntled war vet that got experimented on and finally found peace when he was put down by Fatfish himself. But what happened with the lab and the experiments, who knows…..
Then there's Tom/Dark Avenger. Readers seem to have a love/hate relationship with him lol Arrogant, pompous, full of himself, and mysterious. But to a degree dorky enough for people to to still not fully hate him (yet). With a lot more characters during this arc, he's kind of taken a bit of a back seat the last couple of chapters, especially with the Fred v Jon dilemma, but he's more of an important figure in chapter 26, and I'll leave it at that…..I like writing scenes with Tom/'Dita because they do not get along at all, and I like writing scenes with Tom/Maralyn because they get along TOO well lol.
Robi, one of Fatfish's hitmen, is an interesting one. He's one of the more popular bad guys because of his one liners and burns. In book 1 he was in the closet and accidentally outed himself to Fatfish, and now in book 2 he's pretty much out of the closet. The only real original henchman of Fatfish still standing since some are dead, and the twins are out of commission since Michael nearly died at the hands of the Otomo yakuza, and Fatfish had deactivated his sister Samantha in chapter 4 out of fear of her getting arrested or hurt. Robi is the most fun to write of the Fatfish henchmen, and as will be seen later on, he kind of becomes friends with Samantha. Or, as close as friends that hitmen can be.
Then theres Maralyn. Almost NO ONE likes Maralyn lol In her first full appearance she took a shot at the then recently deceased Cheryl and really has never recovered from that XD I like the dynamic between her, Jane, and Fred. People compare it to Archie, Betty, and Veronica, and I LOVE that comparison. Only that Fred is a clueless dweeb compared to Archie that just took advantage of the situation XD Since chapter 19 she's been softening somewhat to a point where people are curious about her past and why she is the way she is, and after the smackdown Donna gave her in chapter 22, she's been slightly more humble. Once this storyline ends, book 3 she will be a pretty big character, as well as Jane's ex, Charles, so, matters are only going to get even MORE complicated, I'm afraid.
Fred and Jane have not spoken to each other since chapter 19's argument between them, and just that one brief (but eventually really important) scene in chapter 23 Fred saying goodbye to Jane in the hospital while she was asleep, that's a pretty long time and in real time it's been years now since it's only been the last few years I've been uploading more regularly again. I'm afraid to say it's going to take a little while longer for them to share a scene together again. Any predictions?
Anyway, it's been a LONG time I've written such a HUGE author's notes so I'll leave it at that lol If you read this far, thank you for reading!
