FreeFall Drift
Author notes
01-12 Why a shrine to Old Earth?
freefall_drift onWhen I wrote this part months ago, I wanted to explain why Ruun talked like a 20th century person, why he was not as familiar with the current events of the galaxy. So I used a "Blast from the Past" plot device. Now I can justify all the 20th century references that Ruun will use.
There was a young teen book I read as a kid that had this brain fuse technique. The boy escaped the city to country. The country turned out just as mean and cruel with evil boarding schools and other badness.

Dom - Well, there will be a fight on a run away steam train, exploring an abandoned alien L-5 habitat, clones, and at least a handful of romances.
Lughaidh - That was a lucky accident or my subconscious is a genius. I'm at the tail end of the baby Boomer Generation and I'm so tired of the Babyboomer generation being the center of the culture universe. Elvis and the Beatles and the Who have nothing left to say to me.
Viceroy - Glad you found Freelall again. Maybe I'll have to be more explicit on some venue or secondary web comic space.
Hyptosis - Glad you like it. Eventually Ruun and Dante will even make it to the starship, though at this rate, sometime around 2008.
silentkitty - Thanks. I love A Christmas Story, so I was glad I got to make a reference to it. - one of the best movies ever! We have it on, as background noise, every Christmas.
Next Page - Will display Monday

Also, I was trying to be clever, even though there are many many chances to stop, I erased my comic. I had to re upload the whole thing.
