So anyone who follows video game news may have heard about Final Fantasy 14's abysmal launch. To fix it, the game had to be taken down, and the producers decided to turn the 'destruction' of the original incarnation of the game, into a story. That last day the game was up, this is what was going on. Dalamud was a moon that the bad empire known as Garlemald was pulling into the atmosphere to try and destroy Eorzea, the continent where the game takes place, because it was 'unholy'. The moon ended up being a prison for a very angry dragon, and he then proceeded to destroy everything.
